Painting with Water

 We've been so excited to get to play outside in the sunshine lately!

Did you ever paint with water as a kid?

Seems like we did.

 Caleb's main interest is in chewing up the brushes and tipping over bowls of water.

 But Josiah likes painting letters.

 This is Caleb at 5 months.

Very cute.  Not much hair.

 Finally, at 16 months, it was starting to get a little too long in the back.

 He sat on a stool, happily eating a granola bar the whole time.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

 Today we made rainbows out of paint chips.  I got the idea here.

 I made Josiah's rainbow with words and Caleb's with dots.

 Josiah would have preferred a digital version of this activity.  What a boy!

I found this nest in a bunch of thorn bushes when I was picking these flowers.

This morning my two helpers and I finally hung up this cool wall hanging their grandparents sent for Christmas.

And there was enough ribbon left over to make curtain ties.  Here's my favorite way to cut ribbon.

Fold it in half and cut at an angle.

Add a little Fray Check.  See Caleb helping?

And here's the lampshade I added rickrack to at Craft Night for Josiah's room.

Josiah is beside me saying, "Type my name, Mom.  Now type in PBS Kids." 

Craft Night #2

Last night's blustery weather kept our friends away, but my mom and sister and I had a great time!  I finished this puppet theater!
