We had a lovely day with Amanda and Evelyn. We’ve done this yard sale together many times now. My favorite part this time was going in two old school houses. This was on our mountain and that man under the blue tent said he graduated from 8th grade from this two-room schoolhouse, “Morgan Springs University” and he gave the girls these pumpkins. He said Walden’s Ridge, where Jennifer went to kindergarten, replaced it. It had more along the line of four classrooms and a cafetorium.
Lunch at the Cookie Jar Cafe was another highlight. They even had a little path with farm animals to walk around while you waited. Eleonora got bit or stung and missed out on enjoying some of the scenery.
And here was the second schoolhouse of the day. Very cool inside. Teaching ESL is my favorite, but I might not mind teaching in a tiny school for a spell someday. Especially if it still has internet. Haha. I have come to rely on the old technology in my teaching.
Back at the Cafe before the bug incident.
A grand time was had by all.
