Ballet Recital

Smack dab in the middle of applesauce-making, Eleonora had her spring ballet recital!

It was supposed to happen back in May, but we just now were able to have it!

It was so very sweet. All three cousins were lovely!

Applesauce

Now our biggest project of the weekend was making delicious raspberry applesauce. The boys’ trees that they each got for their first birthdays finally had a nice little crop of apples.  (Eleonora and I had just been at a wedding shower, so we were a tad overdressed for the harvesting portion of the activity.)

The blog where I got my recipe and instructions said that she and her children took 7 hours to can 44 quarts of applesauce. We also took 7 hours, and got 17 quarts and 1 pint of applesauce. Pretty good for a first attempt!

Caleb was the only one who kept me company until the bitter end!

He also thought I needed to be in a picture as well. 

It is delicious!!

Bookshelf

Amanda and I canned tomatoes after school on Friday, and that seemed to get me on a roll of productivity, so when we woke up Saturday morning, the kids and I painted this bookshelf that I got at the Highway 127 yard sale this year. 

Eleonora and I ‘styled’ it this morning, and I think it turned out great!

Josiah in turn was inspired to organize his bookshelves in alphabetical order. He laid all his books out like this and has been regretting that decision ever since. Ha. I think he’s a little bit kin to his mama!

Dress Rehearsal

The girls had their ballet dress rehearsal last week, and this picture is a perfect representation of their degree of precision. Haha. So cute and sweet though!

Tumbling

Eleonora started tumbling last week, and it looks like such fun!

Virtual ESL

Last week was my introduction to teaching my ESL students virtually. I can’t show you them, so I’ll show you me practicing with Jennifer and Steven!  (And what do you know, my slideshow worked for my fam and not for my students. Ha!)

Millionaire’s Club

Caleb was the top reader at our school last year, and just received his prize last week. To say he was pleased would be an understatement!  He’s going for 10 million this year!
