Hot Tub Fence
Ooh, la, la! Didn’t we build a spiffy fence for our new hot tub so swiftly!? (Nope, but our neighbors sure did!)
Tutoring
Speaking of time in my classroom before and after school, Eleonora gets special tutoring sessions from her brothers and me twice daily. We especially work on her spelling words. This was her rendition of “Halloween” on day 3 of practicing. I normally skip the bonus word and focus on the main ten. It’s all we can do to master those! What a girl!
Shoeboxes
The kids and I have been staying late after school every day this week, as I have been trying to get all of my ducks in a row before observations start next week - eek! Let me just say that I LOVE that all my kids are at my school and can hang out in my classroom before and after school every day with me. (Now all day on Wednesdays for the first 9-weeks was a bit much, but I was grateful for that too.) Josiah has started heading to his classroom earlier in the mornings and hanging out later with his friends before he comes back to us in the afternoons, which is cute as well. All that to say, after school, we worked a while in my room, then decided to head out for one missing costume piece for this weekend and stuffings for our Operation Christmas Child boxes. We got a little distracted on our search for white Princess Leia pants, and found these matching Christmas jammies instead! Hi-larious. I posted this pic in our family texting group and the next thing I know, my mom is in the store with us. Recognized the dressing room and she and Pops were driving by so they decided to stop because they had some bacon for us anyways. (Makes their sleuthing a little less impressive if you know that there is only one clothing store in town.). Ha! So after a little family reunion in the parking lot, we continued our quest for shoebox items.
The kids each made some generous contributions from their own funds to buy these items, and Josiah carried his actual mason ‘give’ jar around three stores, leaving it in multiple aisles. So funny. We were not an inconspicuous group on our outing, to say the least.
Somehow the entire experience took 3 hours and we kept texting Chris to say we would be home for supper in 20 minutes and this is what he texted back. He was sitting at the table pining for us (I’m sure). We are currently using lots of paper products because a rodent of unusual size has eaten baseball size holes in our dishwasher. Good thing I’ve got a birthday coming up! Haha!
Pumpkin Twins
Did I already tell you, the other day I asked Eleonora how she thought she would like being a twin, and she told me that she basically already was one, because...Anna Kate.
How could I forget? Ha!
Saturday Mornings at Soccer
There are only three teams in Caleb’s age division, so they all play each other every Saturday. When there is a gap between the two games, some of us spectators like to take a brisk walk around the mile-long track.

I don’t mean to brag, I don’t mean to boast...but C scored 3 goals this muddy morning.
