Living Christmas Tree

Jennifer, Ashley, and I went to the Living Christmas Tree in Knoxville.
Check out the people in the tree!
Oops, not the picture I meant to put, the wisemen and shepherds hadn't arrived yet.
The wisemen are my favorite.  They arrive on camels!
So good.
Ashley brought some presents for the boys over this morning.
Sweet puzzles that you can pull out with a magnetic fishing pole.  And Grinch paper for the Grinch.
And to top it all off, we got a package in the mail from Chris's parents full of fun presents, including these amazing stockings and teddy bear that Grandma Corkie knit herself!

I love Christmas!

And now I'd better get to stitching.  I've been ahead on presents for so long that I'm suddenly finding myself not quite ready for the Honeycutt family Christmas tomorrow!   Woot!

Zoo Shirts

Check out the cute hippo and rhino I added to J & C's shirts yesterday!
I thought long and hard about how to cut out the grey fabric to make the animals facing each other.
I guess not quite long and hard enough!

Gone Fishin'

One warm afternoon, the boys decided that they needed to go catch some fish for us to eat.
So they headed down to the creek with their poles, and fished from at least three bridges.
 The top of a pipe.
 And the banks.
They were a little surprised that they came home empty handed.
Fish sticks for supper!

Making Shape Cookies

Here are the boys making their cookies.
We've already eaten them all up.
They were delicious!

Christmas Cookies

We've made two batches of Christmas cookies this week - Grinch and Sugar.
Grinch cookies are my favorite - chocolate chip cookies with mint and green food coloring.
Josiah wanted to make a shape cookie out of the ones that melted together.
And today the boys and I made sugar cookie dough to take to our friends' house tomorrow to make shape cookies!
Our friends include a mommy, a 3 year old boy, and twin one year olds.
I'll let you know how it goes!

Christmas Pictures

Last night I was trying to make a family picture collage like I did last year.
It's so hard to get a picture with all four of us smiling, you see.
This was last year's.
And here was last night's attempt.
I wanted Josiah and Caleb in the middle, me and Caleb on the right, and then I got hung up finding a picture of Chris and Josiah for the left.
So then I made this.
Only it used to have cute words.
But I think it's back to the drawing board.

Josiah loves the Grinch this year.  He wants to dress up as him for Christmas.  I guess after Halloween, he thinks you get a new costume for every holiday.  He makes Caleb be his dog, Max.  He says if he had a black 'stwing' he could make him into a reindeer.  When I picked him up from his class at church this morning, he said, "Mom, nobody there would let me be the Grinch.  They didn't like me getting in the (play) oven.  That was my Grinch cave."
