We finished the holiday season with a visit to good old FCF. We had two cabins on the lake. The boys got to stay in the “adult” cabin with Gramma, Poppa, and the Glenfields. This was the calmer place to hang out if you were, say, recovering from knee replacement surgery. 

A few Christmas presents that didn’t make it in time for our earlier celebration were exchanged here. These girls skated and skated!  Eleonora had over 14,000 steps from all that fun. We also took the kids to a playground and on a little hike, but mostly we enjoyed indoor activities because it was COLD!

There was no snow in the forecast but there were just enough flurries sticking to the cars on the last day for the girls to attempt a tiny snowman. We have been continuing this tradition of ringing in the New Year (or close enough) for almost forty years now, and it’s a fabulous one!
