Headers

I thought I'd put up all the headers I've made for this blog, for posterity's sake.
I think my first, pumpkiny one is my favorite so far.

I printed this one and put it on our Christmas Altoids that year.

Look at that baby Caleb!

And this one was supposed to be Valentine's Day-ish.  It's time for a summer one, coming up soon!

The Playhouse

I tried to show you pictures of this last week, but the pictures seem to have disappeared, so here it is again!
This playhouse is in my parents' yard.  The boys' Poppa built it in no time!
It has a bunk up a little ladder.  It is all ready for a camp-out, if we ever feel so bold.
 I like the cedar posts.
There are lots of toys inside from the deep past of mine and my sisters' childhoods.

 Pretty doggone cute, eh?

Come play with us anytime!

Going to Great Grandmother's House

We recently traveled with Chris to his weekend of school, and on the way, we got to stop at my grandparents' house!  We were all so excited!
Here are the boys helping to make breakfast.
When we were about to sit down to eat, Josiah ran off to find his Aunt Faye, and Caleb hunted and hunted for his Grandaddy.
 Sister & Brother.
Aren't they cute?

And my sweet, beautiful Grandmother!  She's the best!

Easter Cupcakes

I was in charge of dessert for our family's Easter dinner, so the boys and I picked these cupcakes to make from a delightful book filled with cupcake ideas that I got for my last birthday from my equally delightful aunt.
Can you guess what Caleb is holding?
Can you tell what they are now?
Duck cupcakes!!!

Now, I really didn't take any pictures of them until after they had had a little transportation accident in the car, so you'll just have to look at the book's picture and imagine.
And ours looked just like this, by the way, heh, heh.
You see how we made the bodies out of marshmallows cut in half and doughnut holes?
Well, you stick that in the freezer, heat up your icing, and then dunk the birds for that sweet smooth look.
Very cool.  You should try it.

P.S.  Caleb was holding a beak he had made, with a tongue.
We made up the tongue part ourselves.  So creative.

Easter Sunday

 Happy Easter to you!
We started our day down by the creek for our second annual Easter picture extravaganza.
Caleb fell in just as we were leaving, but we had him cleaned up and cheered up in no time!
You can see his outfit, plan B, above.  Ha!
Next, we headed to a pancake breakfast at our church.  Yummy!
Then on to church.  There was only nursery, so Josiah came with us. It was a great service!
The boys' new favorite activity is catching inchworms.  Here they are inspecting a new specimen.

We had lunch with our family at my parents' house.
You can call it 'The Winds'.
Or you can think of a more fitting name.  Most of us are still open for suggestions.

We're off to play with friends.
Join us back here tomorrow for more exciting photos.
Will it be 'Things Growing in Our Yard'?
Will it be 'Boys Dyeing Eggs'?
Only time will tell.

Happy Tuesday!

Happy Birthday to Pops!

We recently celebrated the day of my dad's birth with an 'O Brother, Where Art Thou?' party!
'O Brother' is a movie set in 1937, so we all dressed accordingly.
Caleb loves a good theme party!
Happy birthday to Poppa!
Lou, Joel, and baby Habermas.  How cute!
And us!  Doesn't it look a little like Josiah is the dummy and Chris is the ventriloquist?

Happy birthday, Daddy!
We love you!
