Their classes had matching shirts, too, which made it much easier to keep up with the kids. This trip was the Friday before Halloween, and the place was packed!
We had a great time! There were gigantic slides built into the side of a hill, a huge blob of air to bounce on, lessons on honeybees and milking cows (this was Mayfield Farm), and much more.
Caleb wasn't feeling very well by the end, and he was determined to let that fact be known in the class picture. Ha. Probably self-diagnosed 'my-yonia' lung.
He decided he wanted to eat his pumpkin, so we didn't carve it. Yesterday, we chopped it up, scooped out the insides, and baked it for 45 minutes and 350*. Then we puréed it and made pumpkin oatmeal chocolate chip pancakes for supper. We doubled the recipe so we had them for breakfast too and even more for the freezer. Here's the link to the recipe we used.

Very tasty, but kind of thick, so spread your batter a little thinner on the griddle if you try it.
And I'll leave you with Caleb as a robot in 2011.
